Miss Hicks and Cobb to exchange wedding vows July 11 in Madison service

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Don Hicks of Franklin, Tenn. announce the engagement of their daughter, Karis Renee Hicks to James Nicholas Cobb Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Nicholas Cobb of Madison.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hicks of Franklin and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ransom of Murchison, Texas.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Edwin Keasler Meeks and the late Linda Dycus Meeks and Mr. and Mrs. Terrell Majure Cobb, all of Greenwood.
Miss Hicks is a 2013 graduate of Centennial High School in Franklin. She was graduated from Mississippi State University magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. At Mississippi State, she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She is currently a first grade teacher in the Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District.


Cobb was graduated from Madison- Ridgeland Academy in 2014 and attended Mississippi State University, where he was graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degrees in business administration and sport administration. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Cobb is currently an assistant director of finance in the Bulldog Club in Mississippi State University’s Athletics Department.


The couple will exchange marriage vows on July 11 in Madison at Bridlewood of Madison.
